You know what they say small hands & feet = small ...............

My life story. :(

Yesterday was at the Indy show......That was my first adventure there and went very well. It was housed inside at the fairgrounds in two large buildings. There were a lot of vendors and people with parts. It was well worth the trip and will definitely go back....It was nice to run into some old friends and well a single FBBO member....

Tim @69 GTX was great to hang out for a bit and to chat about our cars......

Our resident parts vendor @69bfan aka Richard had a wonderful display and vendor spread....Guys if you need any reproductions parts from a true genuine vendor you should contact Richard first before anyone else......

Didn't have any luck for parts for the X but I did find a mint E brake assembly for a steal......It is missing the small internal spring which I know is what made people pass on it....They just didn't have a clue what it needed nor did the person selling it. It has a beautifully dated rivet and the studs are not broken and no pitting.....These are very hard to find in this shape and intact....

I recently scored a complete set of washer hose with squirters. This is a complete original set. The hoses are soft and reusable. Notice the ribs in the hose?

Thanks to member posting a thread searching for these I was finally able to score two complete sets. I have stripped 5 dashes and none had these in place for the lucite panels. Either they came loose through the years and owners pitched them or as Tim thought the factory just didn't put them on. There was a complete dash at Indy and Tim said they were not there.....One goes in the lower notch on the "hockey stick" and the second goes on the lower portion of the small lucite piece on the drivers side.

I knew of them but just never got my hands on them....On my X the cap nuts were loose in the back side of the dash....Now I will get them plated.....

Had a great time Justin, my first time too. I'll have to go again next year.

I was just checking my MCACN email and your GTX made the feature page promoting the Gilmore Museum. Great that they decided to use the GTX. It was a very nice picture of the car and facility.

Justin, do you have pictures of the car? Id like to see the whole car. I cant believe theres 147+ pages on your car but it is helpfull and awesome!

Gary...... @plowman

Sent me this gem via email....This is a snippet from the article from MCACN that relates to their visit to the Gilmore Museum......I tried to post the whole article but was not able to figure out a way to do so here........

The Gilmore is a wonderful place and an asset to our hobby.........

Just looking at that beauty makes me want to drive it.

I admire your ability to resist not to just go get in your car right now and drive it somewhere.

Ahem, I have a promised ride next year, but I’m not gloating.I’ll be 70 in May, just saying; Justin!

Wayne, thanks for the “like” , now I have something to hold over Justin! Jeff
