5.9 Magnum motor question

Hello has anyone put a 97-99 5.9 motor in a older car say my 67 Plymouth Belvedere and what would it take to get it to fit and running
I installed a ‘00, 5.9 in my ‘79 Magnum. The following parts were used;

600 Edelbrock AVS
RPM AG
Vacuum advance distributor & chrome box ignition.
Hooker Super Comp headers @ 1-3/4, 2-1/2 exhaust. No ground clearance issues! Superior fit!
(Cheaper by half at the time over the TTI headers.)
B&M flex plate to mate external balanced engine to neutral balance converter for the 727.
Stock engine mounts.
Cobbled a cool mint to mount it vertical.
Alt. Was a splicing if wires.
A/C delete uses a short belt.

The intake needs a flush sitting water plug under the bracket. I used a female hex plug.
Remote oil filter doesn’t have to be done with the headers. Plenty of room for a large filter.

I'm just now following your thread, What did you end up doing. The only reason I ask, is because I did an magnum swap to my car, a 1967 Satellite.

Nothing yet besides collecting stuff for my BB 470 build

My swap turned out great, my engine was a 1995 5.9 magnum, and I used the mating A518 overdrive transmission. At first I used the OBD I pcm, with a small cam. Then one of my freeze plugs started leaking, so I pulled the engine/trans. Then the upgrades really began. I will post some video shortly.

One item was missed here. You can use the old LA timing cover, brackets, pulleys. However the key slot in the cam snout isn't long enough for the mechanical fuel pump eccentric. I cobbled one together years ago by laying 2 keys over one another. Used the Mopar dual plane Magnum carb intake and headers. Ran great, 14.80s in my 1/2 ton D 100.

You can get a bolt on cam snout extension for the fuel pump.

Hughes engines makes a keyed fuel pump eccentric to place at the end of a magnum roller cam. and Hughes engines can duel drill the heads to fit the LA intakes.
