Traffic "violator" school !

Many years ago, I looked like Jack the Ripper on a motor vehicle report.
Speeding.
Exhibition of speed.
Following too close.
Vehicle too loud.
Vehicle too low.
Taillights not visible for 500 feet.
Bald tires.
Cracked windshield.
No insurance.
Failure to stop.
Failure to yield.
I've been cited for all of those, some a few times. I drove a lowered and loud Camaro in the late 80s when cruising was a cool thing to do. I picked all sorts of chicks with that car!

Insurance companies are also now wise to the "no points" for going to school, and can and do raise your rates even though your license reflects no points.

BS

..and back to crap terminology, I wish they would quit using "cone of uncertainty" for potential hurricane paths. that just sounds stupid. It's still "probability" whether is sounds positive, negative or whatever. it's science, not feel good.

Allstate Insurance. “He came out of nowhere”.

Back in my wild years before waking up to figure out what I was going to do in life it was sort of a magical era when I had a don't give a rip about anything but cars, shooting pool, and oh yeah bowling. I had thoughts of pro-bowling having a 204 average coming to find out that wasn't gonna cut it. If only I coulda made more damn 10 pins! Among the traffic violations I had was a reckless driving charge in my '70 Cuda. Started out innocent enough; well maybe not, as I had been out drinking most of the day with buddies as it was during the holidays when our shop closed early. Lol, and even at work we were given beers while we were running our machinery in holiday celebration! Times were different back when! We hopped in my bud's '69 GTX and did some bar hopping until he dropped his driveshaft doing a burnout racing an old Chev with a bunch of girls in that car. Then we got in my Cuda to do more bar stops until I popped my clutch too hard at an intersection full of sand to cover the ice. I careened across the intersection hitting the curb and an approaching paddy wagon got full view of it...next I know I'm in the back in handcuffs. Spent several hours at the PD and the violation was a six-pointer. As part of the deal to reduce those was a six-week safe driving class watching films from the '50's yet of bloody accidents...took weeks for my girlfriend to speak to me again...we've been married over 40 years now...

When I first moved to CA in the early 90s if you went to dummy school you didn’t have to pay the ticket costs - only court costs and cost of the school. Well they eventually decided that was too gracious and changed it to having to pay for both the ticket and dummy school. This state will suck you dry and you don’t even get to cum in their mouth. What a rip-off

Traffic fines in CA are an *** rape. First there is the base fine, then they tack on "Penalty assessments" that are often 150% of the base fine. Yes...a $100 fine can and often does result in a $250 hijack of the wallet.

school cost and fine are usually within $5 of each other around here

Talking about traffic enforcement SCAMS, my daughter has had a few nightmares with the City of Milwaukee parking meter squad. Talk about an organized robbery scheme! She got religion about parking when she moved to the city from the burbs she grew up in never having to worry about parking. In two cases though she took her tickets to court and was released except for losing her pay to take off of work; but then another time arose when her car was towed. And godammit they towed her car when it shouldn't have been and she won her case...except more lost wages getting a ride to work when she was worried sick what the hell happened to her car and again to go to court...and still had to pay $100 bucks for the ******* tow and impound! These people don't give a ****, are rude, and pathetically slow. Reckon its the same in most cities and a way to get more money. I understand and get the importance with parking enforcement; but zero accountability for their **** ups!

My wife was eating at Jack-in-the-Box dining area and had parked in their own parking lot. The Jack(***) security guard had her vehicle towed. What a mess!

Kind of reminds me when I was banned from my home town McDonald's back when we used to back in and park our rides for a while to down a gut-bomb and shoot the chit (until that was banned). I did a little burn out the lot when the rent-a-guard took note. Next time in he gave me the news I was banned from re-entry. Then came the signs restricting back-in parking and a 15 minute limit. We used to cruise through town and then that was banned: Signs posted no cruising allowed; something to the effect of no more than twice in an hour or something like that. Gone were the days of cruising through town and our A&W and Dog 'n Suds drive-ins shut down. I was of the age already where aimless riding around was about over for me anyway though thought it sad and for those younger who wouldn't experience the fun it was. This was around the time our two outdoor movie theaters closed up and remember the fun times we had there. Back when our muscle cars were our daily transportation.

It was two or three in the morning when I met a buddy at Jack-in-the Box (Salinas-South Main St). We each used the drive thru (dining area closed) and parked in the Jack customer lot. I jumped in my friends vehicle to eat/talk with him. Security guard told me he was going to have my car towed. He would not listen to reason so I had to move my car and park on the street. For some strange reason, I could not convince him I was a customer.

On the bright side, at the same Jack about 2:00 AM on a different night and after having struck out at an "under 21" club earlier that evening (I was actually wearing a tie!) I asked the skinny blonde drive-thru girl what she was doing Friday night--she said she was busy. When handing me my order of tacos, she said she was not really busy. We went to some dirt circle track races the next weekend where we snuck in some bottles of beer in our jacket pockets.

We used to do fat burnouts in the Jack in the box drive through. It was hilarious watching the clouds of tire smoke fill up the restaurant and everybody coming outside to get some air and to see what the hell was going on. Now the police station is across the street and they would probably shoot you for pulling that crap. Life was a lot more fun back then.

Did you see her pee pee ??
I like to use kiddie terms for genitalia...
A Woman's pee pee....also known as a vertical smile, the vagina"
It was not a urine reference.

That was a glaring observation: The word collision. The text repeatedly stated that the California DMV is trying to move way from the term accidents and concentrate on the word Collision. Their reasoning is that accidents are avoidable while collisions are not always so.
Huh? WTF are they thinking?

It's all a play on words if you really think about it. If you look at the definition of both words, you'll see the difference but yet some similarities. With the number of dumbshits that have their eyes glued to their phones and not the road, definition #2A in accident fits the bill to a T. I can't find anything in collision that would apply to an accident. And even look at the synonyms between the 2 words. So to cover their asses from liability, I bet that's why they changed it to collision.
Besides, accidents are always avoidable if you're paying 100% attention to driving and don't do stupid **** behind the wheel like you learned in Driver's Ed! Which is not the case in today's world as you know!!!

You being the grammar Nazi that you can be/are, I'm surprised you haven't figured that out already?:poke::poke:

This may have been common knowledge to 69A100 because he seems to sniff out every weird new law passed in this state. :poke:
Thanx, but not quite the truth! I get it with the stick jab.

Sounds just like what happened in my small town.... NONE of those new laws about NO cruising were legal, but who had a lawyer to fight city hall?????
