I know that it's on this forum somewhere. I guess I'm either to lazy or to busy to look

1970 Coronet, 15" magnum 500

What's the widest wheel that will fit with no issues

8" front
10" rear?

Don't know how much difference there is between a Coronet and a Charger back there but I can stuff 305's under mine on 10" wide rims. Not sure if your referring to rim or tire? A 10" wide rim at zero offset will let me max out the wheel wells from there it's a matter of how far you want to push it, 285's easy, 295's and they're getting full, 305's... you ain't putting anything bigger in with minimal room for the axle to get twisted but fine on flat roads. Again I don't know if there's a difference between them, my wheel wells measure 14" and 7" to the axle flange (zero offset).

thanks
I did a disc brake conversion and need to move from 14" rims to 15's. I'm trying to decide what size 15's to buy. I figured I would contemplate tire size later.
Maybe that's thinking backwards. Not unusual for me

anyone have any thoughts on this? besides 747

15x10's will fit, but your backspacing has to be perfect because there is not much leeway. 15x8's with a 4.5" backspace easily fit. Also 747mopar is running taller than 15" wheels. Less tire, less bulge.

thanks
Yea, I'm considering 15x8's on all for corners. I'm assuming that 8's will fit up front. This car is for my daughter and currently only has a 318 2 barrel

I was considering going as wide as I could, but after mulling it all day, I've decided that that would be unnecessary, unless I put a more powerful engine in it

15x10 with 275/60's fit great with a 5-1/2" back space on 68-70 B bodies. I run 295's with 15X8 Rallye and Cragars only because I didn't want the jacked up look of taller 275's.

Here's the thing , a 15 inch Mag 500 has a center size of 12.25" and most 14" wheels are 12.25 center size. 15" ralley wheels are the same. 15" steel wheels are 13.25".
