Name your favorite off brand muscle car

In high school, my friend had a 67 GS 400 4 speed, it was primer grey, cragar gt's, and had the original, believe it or not, yellow interior.
That thing did the longest burnouts.

Only known surviving pic.

Chevy Monza ? Yeah...I forgot about those. My ex had one & got pretty pissed when I started giving her car the "nitrous eye". I think it was like a 305 or maybe smaller optional V8 (?) Didn't they have a Monza Spyder or something like that?
If I recall, the Monza could be fitted with a V6 and....a 262 V8 2 barrel or a 305 V8 2 barrel.

Off brand.... 1972-75 Ford Fairmont Coupe - 302
My father had one when we were kids....traded down to a 4-cyl Ford Escort as the impending gas crisi was starting to bite in '76. Regretted that move for years to come.

Yep, buddy of mine had a Monza Spyder, and yes, it came with a 305, and that car was fast. Remember we drove that car about 45 miles in 18 minutes once, and raced a Camaro at 130mph on the freeway, it was insane.
And a 383-stroker SBC would bolt right in

Ford Thunderbolt

I would think every early "B" owner would appreciate the Thunderbolt because it has that "everymans" car look, not too sporty and obviously badass if you know whats going on under the hood.
My recollection is that they were one of the most dangerous ill handling cars though, and noted for taking out some of Fords biggest names at the track because of it. Yet the bigger shoeboxes (Galaxie) had no stability issues.

Yeah yeah, we’re all Mopar guys... but what’s the top off brand muscle car you’ll stop and admire at a show? Or whatever kind of car...

Always liked the Mercury Cyclone

And the big body Cutlasses. I’ll spend plenty of time chatting up the owner of a 66

Friends dad has one of these growing up. 67 Grand Prix. We called it the Black Beast. Big block car, (pretty sure a 400). Cam, intake and head work - that baby moved.

Personally, I am a huge fan of the GTO, specifically the 66-67. It was my first car I had from the age of 16 to about 20. Love the look of the front end and hood scoop and the overall coke bottle style. Lots of good memories with that car.

My buddies dad has a 69 Z28 true DZ302 car, I always thought that was real nice. Other than that 66-67 gto I like.

Funny when I was a kid my dad introduced me to mopar and we started searching for a project car which lasted almost a year until we got a 75 big block duster. In that time frame he showed me several off brand cars and asked me what do you think my answer was always the same it’s not a mopar, I was literally mopar or no car I would not even consider even going to look at another brand of car.
