Need Help Bleeding Brakes

In Glenview, IL just north of Chicago, just installed new booster and brakes looking for help bleeding brakes on 1969 Roadrunner, in heated garage. If you can help let me know, I'll pay for your time. Thanks my cell is 773-251-7650 Billy.
 
Just grab a neighbor or a kid. Its easy bleeding the brakes if that's all you need.:drinks:
 
Bench bleed the master cylinder, open one bleeder at a time (longest to shortest line) and let gravity do all the work.
 
I agree with JimCoronette, because I have the time I gravity bleed all my brakes. Always results in a rock solid pedal Everytime.
 
This is why when I restored my car, I installed speed bleeders, now its a one person job, the speed bleeders let fluid out and don't let air in!
 
You don't need a helper, you don't need to spend money on a fancy gadget.

Get yourself a container to catch the fluid and the proper size hose. Make sure there is fluid in the container and the hose is submerged. As long as the hose is submerged in fluid, it won't suck any air back into the system.

Bleeding order...
Right Rear
Left Rear
Right Front
Left Front

In that order only. With the hose submerged in the fluid in your container, crack the bleeder open and pump the brake pedal slowly. Once the pedal is down, let it back up slowly. Do it twice and then tighten the bleeder. Move on to the next wheel. Check the fluid in the master cylinder periodically so it doesn't run dry. If it does you'll have to start over.

Made one from a cheese bottle, stuck it into a Pringles can. I placed some chain inside of the Pringles can for weight so it doesn't fall over.

This is how I did mine after I did my conversion... Works great and no mess and no helper (unless you just want some company).
 
I've tried all the methods. Gravity seems to take forever. Hand held vacuum pump never worked well for me. I like and still use the two man pedal pump method.
 
anyone use brake speed bleeders? How do they work?
I've never used them but they might work ok. The thing is with gravity bleeding, there might be a high spot in the line or a loop and that's a place where a air bubble could stay and still let fluid pass by it. Then you'll still have a spongy brake pedal.

Do like I did in my post and you'll never have any problems. Just make sure you weight your container so it doesn't tip over. Air comes out and doesn't let air back in. It's a one man job that I've been doing for years.

Bought a pair (Russell) and they worked great. I got a plastic tube to go over bleeder to a jar. Just push b pedal easy same with letting off it. That's the way I did it.
 
Hi guys,Im aware this is an old forum but if someone would like to chime in please feel free.Iam having bleeding issues with my 76 Cordoba brakes,the previous owner and his friend started to replace the rear drums but came unstuck.I now have the car and have had to re trace his steps and found he had cracked the brake line to allow air and fluid to escape.I have since replaced the rear shoes and hardware,slave cylinders.The front has had new pads also.I have started on the rear right hand side and had my dear father pump the pedal,their is fluid in both rear drums and fluid in front right disc,nothing at the front left disk but fluid in the line going into the caliper.The brake fluid looks dirty so I unhooked the master cylinder cleaned it out with petrol and brake cleaner I also tried bench bleeding it.Re installed on the car and same problem no pedal.Now this car has a factory portioning valve under the booster on the inner guard.I dont no a lot about these things none of my Aussie mopars have ever had them.From what I understand if a brake line is broken or leaking the piston inside this valve will move across and not allow fluid to move in that direction and if Iam tring to bleed these brakes I can pump the pedal all day and not get anywhere.Am I missing something here?Cheers guys any help would be fantastic
