Eddy AFB cracked Boosters

In the last year I have found the rear booster rings cracked and broken on both my carbs. The car runs the same, would not have known if I hadn't taken the top off. Anyone see this before and know a cause?

Whopin Wedge had one break off a couple of years ago. Dale cubic (CFM CARBS, Ohio) told me that you can no longer get them from Edelbrock.

You need a “Parts Carb” or a new one. It stinks that you can’t get parts for them like you need.

I have a spare booster, but this was the 4th to crack in the last year. I just wish I knew the cause.

What vintage are the carbs. My Carbs are from the mid 90's, never cracked one. Call Dale Cubic at CFM carbs. He knows as much about these as anybody.

Never seen that before. I run several Carters from the 90's also before they were Edelbrocks. I still have 2 NOS Hemi carbs shrink wrapped in their original Carter boxes from the 70's. The only NOS parts I have ever owned.
