I'm looking at a 63 Belvedere SW this week. I don't think the owners knows much about the car. There's no motor in it. Anyway to tell a /6 K from a V8? If it is a 6, does anybody make the /6 to BB swap?

Schumacher says they have motor mounts, but you do need a v-8 K frame. Big or small block is the same in that year. If the trans is there, the /6 unit is not going to bolt up to a BB motor.

B body 63-65 S6 K frame has single slots for the engine mount 3/4'' diameter. V8 K's have 2, 7/16'' slots for the engine mounts.

You can tell by looking at the K frame. You can also look at the fender tag to see what the car came with. You just have to remember that after 50+ years the car could have anything on it including a different fender tag and/or a different K frame.
