ive had this shop for probably 15 years. with the help from my son and some friends we tore it down a few weeks ago. it was a 25x35 carport that i enclosed and fixed up. served me well but it had a few leaks and looked like **** so i decided to go bigger and better. have a 50x65 metal building being built that will be ready in february so saturday we started getting ready to pour the addition to the slab thats already there. had to cut the original slab in two places for footers and scrape off the topsoil so i can haul in some red dirt that will pack. headed today to get the form boards. cant say how excited i am. already ordered a two post lift

EXCELLENT! Nice shop = many hours of enjoyment. I would probably have been committed to an asylum by now were it not for a nice shop to spend time in. Keep the pictures coming.

Boy if that isn't the truth, nothing like a little garage time.

That's a pretty big shop, you won't regret it.

I for sure would have gone crazy if I didn't have someplace to go hide but thing I may have lost some brain cells in the process! :D

yeah im missing my shop. we are scheduled to put the building up in February all my stuff is scattered and stored. two post lift arrived friday. cant wait to get it all installed.

That is awesome Eddie, congrats! take lots of pics and post them.

What kind of lift did you get? I am ordering one next month.

Bought a 9000lb two post lift from best buy automotive equipment

Awesome, once the lift is in you’ll wonder how you got along without one.

I bought my first one just a couple years ago, won't ever be without one again. What lift did you go with?

^^^^^Id say so. Awesome. Youll be in before you know it!

That is some good progress. Having worked at several jobs in steel buildings like that my biggest complaint is insulation, what's your plan? Seams they all throw insulation over the beams then pinch it down under the tin which seams to me would kill the R value plus it get holes knocked in it and isn't easy to keep clean? One things for sure it's never going anywhere, looks great:thumbsup:

its going to have 3 in insulation on the roof and walls. with the eave height it should stay pretty cool in the summer. going with propane heat for the winter. luckily we don't have too terrible of winters down here.

getting some walls up now. wind was blowing too hard to get the roof on today but it should be on tomorrow. im installing the air compressor tonight and hauling the lift and our forklift over there tomorrow to install the lift and start on the lights and electrical.
