I own a 68 Charger for over 35 years. I painted it back in 1985. Paint code was T1 medium green metallic. When I had the paint mixed back then the mix didnt match.... way too dark, so i had it custom matched to the inner trunk panel. Im repainting the car now. Brought the trunk in for matching. The formula for F1 light green metallic matched almost perfect. Could the tag be a misprint and should have been F1?

I wouldn't bet against a possible mis-stamping on the tag, although that would be rare. Whatever color you have shown in the photo looks great... I love that color and would someday like a 68 road runner in that. Feel free to post more pics!

Nobody's perfect, if the fender tag is the only thing wrong it's highly likely.

My 68 Charger R/T is the same as yours, car was painted in 90, TT1, But if you look inside doors it is light green met. All the color matched paint I have bought is a lot lighter than the car is painted now. My car was built in mid may. Would like to see an original paint TT1 car. The color almost looks like spring green metallic from a magazine add?

The jams on the car and inside the trunk were never touched. That is what I used to match the color in 85. The engine compartment color was painted last summer. It was computer matched to an almost perfect F1 mix. Car was built mid March

Remember that back when our cars were in the factory, the paint was a dirtier and thinner version of the rich vibrant paints we can buy these days. And they didn't have clear coats like we put on these days. My GTX original paint was under the windscreen....it was nice, but you could tell it was different to modern paints.

Do you have a build sheet with the T1 code ? It's possible when making the fender tag for the car the employee misread the F1 for a T1. It's also possible when the punched in the code when it was getting sprayed they put in T1 instead of F1. Could easily be misread. If it were B5 blue I'd say not much chance but in your case, yes very possible. I have heard many people say the rear sway bar was not an option on 71 roadrunners yet I have seen a handfull of cars have the holes in the rear frame for the bracket and have seen one car with the bar and another had the bracket and spring plate but bar was missing. There were odd things done sometimes.
