howdy all I just got a mirror for my plymouth. Can anybody help me with the hole location on the passenger door? Thanks

I tried matching it to the drivers - I think some of the dealers just stuck them on - good luck!

I was considering adding a passenger side mirror to my '69 Roadrunner.
How is that attached? Do I heed to take off the inside door panel to thread a nut on a bolt?
(Remembering that my old Mustang simply had anchors set in the holes in the door ...& screws that ran though those!)

It should have a flat piece shaped like the mirror mount that goes on the inside. Screws go through the mirror and door and thread into the inside piece.

Did some cars/mirrors only get nutserts/rivnuts for the screws to go into? Or is that an aftermarket "fix" my previous owner did?

My friend's 73 Challenger has threaded expanding sleeves.

My Satellite has the plate.

Those sleeves can be mighty unfriendly on a car that's sat for a while.

I don’t know but I bet if it has the plate it’s factory and if it has the sleeve it’s dealer installed. But I’m only guessing

nope

I'm fairly certain all E boy cars got the sleeves

there's some debate on B body cars- perhaps a plant thing, not aware of a definitive answer

my E body has the inserts

I believe on 71 B's that
plate for drivers side, inserts on pass side.
I picked up a few plates so I won't have to bother with the inserts
