1968 Disc Brake Calipers

Do these look like OEM disc brake caliper for a 1968 b-body? Are they Bendix or Kelsey-Hayes? Can the brake line hose and bleeder screw be interchanged? The bleeder screw on the drivers side is on the top and unless I remove the wheel it cant be reached to bleed the brakes.

Nope they are off the newer mid seventies cars. I have that style on my 68 charger. They came off Magnums, Monaco’s, and even the 75 darts. The originals would have 4 piston calipers with floating pins and are pretty rare. Your style had two different ways of mounting. Some cars had them mounted on the front of the rotor and some had them mounted on the rear so depending on which part number and side you have depends on which side it goes on. I had trouble getting the one side when I ordered new ones. CPP and the other companies have been buying up the cores for their disc brake conversion kits so the major parts stores can’t even get the cores to rebuild and re-manufacture them.

Thank You for the reply. Do you have any idea what type of pads would I need? Or how I can find out what exactly these calipers are from or year?
 
What is the function of the bleeder screw? To remove the air when bleeding, and it can only do that when it is on the top.

The good news is these can work just fine. To bleed the one with the screw on the bottom, remove caliper, insert a block of wood between the pads, flip the caliper 180 degrees so the bleeder is on top. Now bleed the air out. You will need a helper to do this. Remove the wood block, Compress the piston back in and install the caliper.

The bleeder screw can be on the bottom when driving. It’s not a problem. I have a car operating like this right now.

The original 66-69 B-body calipers were Bendix 4 piston. They aren’t worth having unless you want the car 100% correct. They use a different spindle and rotor.

When the calper is off take your pads to the store and match them up. Or match them up to a friends pads. Then you know what they fit.

Those are the originals from 68 above. I ordered pads for a 75-76 dart when I got mine. Basically any mid to late 70s Monaco, magnum, dart that doesn’t use the floating pin style and uses the slider style caliper.
 
Bleeder screws should be located at the top of the caliper. If its lower on the caliper you will have a hell of a time getting the air out.Pretty sure they are 79 Dodge Diplomat brake pads. Look on rockauto here.
