Hi Dan,

I an very sorry, I missed this thread somehow. I very much would like to join a FBBO tent and have my car there - I am currently registered as FBBO and for the show field.

I am happy to help fund the tent. I will chip in up to $100 to rent the tent. Hopefully others will chime in.

C'mon FBBO - let's get together at Carlisle!!!

Dan,

I also posted on your other thread that I missed. I am definitely interested in a tent and getting together. I am already registered and have listed FBBO as my club.

I will gladly help contribute for the tent if we have less than 25 people. Count me in for up to $100 (of the $180). I will also help set up stuff if I can help there as well. Just send me a PM. I am happy to help however I can.

LET'S GET THIS TENT DONE FBBO! If a few other people (8) contribute a measly $10, we are in.

Regards,

Hawk

Dan,
Can you check with Ed to see when would be the cut off date for the tent registration. At that point, we can how many people we are short and what would be necessary to pay the difference between the number registered and the $180 tent rental fees. I would think that the dollar amount should not be a huge dollar amount and we could possibly offset that amount through donations. I will help with a donation and as we approach the July show date, I would suggest some support in the form of help in a couple of tables, chairs, etc.

We are quickly approaching 120 days out for the event and time will be flying by. The event is what you make it to be. I know that the E-Body.Org guys and the A12 guys have some pretty detailed plans in place for event activities. It just makes the event more personal and helps to put a face to a name for most of us.

Let me know how I can help. I can offer my support now as once the show starts, from the time that I leave on that Monday afternoon til I get back and unloaded, I am pretty much dedicated 100% to our vending spots. Hopefully it can be a huge success.
Richard

Just as a suggestion, we need two things to happen to help promote this event for the FBBO site. The first suggestion is can we get this event "Pinned" to the first of the event activities? Secondly, we need to keep our post to "One" event posting and attempt to keep everything under that posting so that everyone will know where to go for posting and checking out the activities.

I'll get back on this, and try to get this rolling. July will be here before we know it...

I'll make some calls, and reserve the tent this week, as the interest has picked up some. Will keep You All posted, as it develops, Thanks...

I can't register under FBBO at this time. I would when walking by, if there is a donation jug or a responsible FBBO member hanging out, I'd fork over what I could spare towards ''Tent Funds". Being a gamble, a person would pay with a check/card to Ed B. tent $ up front before the cutoff date. I would hope FBBO members would donate $ for the person to recoup their cost. It would be the right thing to do. If FBBO gets the amount of registered cars, then Ed B. would reimburses that person. If no tent happens this year for what ever reason, that donated $ hopefully enough for next years tent can be given to Ed B. for a 2020 tent. A few years ago I did lay out $ for a tent for the (1970 Charger Registry) when there was not enough registered cars that year. And I did not even want to park under it. It was for the guys.
Yes posting at two different places on the same subject is not a good idea.

I am willing to take that chance. I can write the check to Ed or Dan if that would help.

I will pursue this, and submit the application for a Club Tent. I double posted this topic, as I wanted to ad the Poll Survey, to get an Idea on how many members would list FBBO as their Club, or Organization, and original post would not allow me to do so. My computer skills are NOT what it takes to be 100% literate on the Forum, so I have to do what I'm able to, Thanks for the feedback...

Latest Update, as of TODAY, 3/15/19: I sent a check to cover the cost for the Tent at "Chryslers at Carlisle", 2019. We have 14 responses in the Poll for registering, so we need at least 11 more to get the Tent for Free, and plenty of time to get there. Feel free to chime in now, and maybe get a few things set for the show, like a cooler or 2, some water, drinks, ice, chairs, or whatever, to make it a place to meet, re-group, or take a break. Hope we can get it set, and I believe if we get the 25 members registered, it will give us a Free Tent Next Year also, and going forward, as long as we register 25 members every year. Keep spreading the word so this happens annually, Thanks...

I can't promise anything but the daughter made it clear that we better hit more shows this year! I'm hoping her project will be getting underway by then and if so we'll have one more reason to come, I'll be happy to pitch in if we decide to go.

I tried to have a get together out the gate @ 7pm last year and nobody came:(
Just order the tent,it will get taken care of.For you guys that talk to Ed,IMO we should be able to register 2 affiliations! Our local clubs that we belong to and an a cyberspace fav.Joe should figure out how to have a primary name that all his forums would fall under one name and it would be HUGE!
My local club came close to being the largest, and they have a contributory "lunch" going all day!

I will plan to bring some water, a cooler and some ice. I will throw in a few odds and end chairs, but the Road Runner can only carry so much!

Maybe we carve off one end of the tent and take turns featuring a member's car? Perhaps a half day each, so Thursday through Sunday can give us at least 6 decent slots. It might help draw folks to the tent too. Just brainstorming...

are tables included with the tent............I know they rent tables.

Tables, chairs, etc. are not included. To the best of my understanding, the only thing you get is the tent itself.

The chairs and tables are available at an extra cost. If you view slide #13 on Page 1 of this Post, and open the 2nd pdf, it will give you the cost per item added, tables & chairs. I also thought it would be cool to have a Members car in the tent, by even having an online poll with a pic & description, to chose 1 or 2 for the weekend days. I think it states in the 1st pdf, that cars are not allowed in the tents, but I could be wrong about that ?
***I just looked at pdf #1, Rule #1 states "Cars are not to be parked, or displayed in the tent", so I guess that takes that out as an option. I did like the idea though.

Bummer. I should have read more carefully, but thanks for clearing that up.

@VANDAN, do you know the exact spaces yet where the tent will be? Maybe I will see if a spot immediately beside it is available to rent as a vendor spot.

Thanks,

Hawk
