Wanted to share and all of my buddies are at work. My latest barn find, field find actually, runs now. Couple light dents, not a single rust hole.
With one gallon of gas run through it, it starts easily, idles, and makes 16-17 pounds of vacuum. Adjusted for elevation, that's as good as it gets for a 100K motor that's been setting for 15-20 years.
The brake master is 69 and 70 only. Chasing one of the five rumored to be in Italy, I found one in the Netherlands.

Is there anything else you can use for a MC? Used a 69 'A' body MC on my 66 Belvedere just because it was new and was in my pile of parts....

What is this “adjusted” crap you speak of? Drag racing already in the Dakotas, lol.

Nice Scout! rust free to boot! Wish I could get the lucky..most around here are rust buckets or big money..

It was in the local Green Sheet. Original owner, $500. I bought it before I got within 100 yds. What amazed me was it had been in the Green Sheet for a month and no one else bought it.
I'm thinking I will paint it with a clear of some sort, but not sure how much gloss to use.

I wouldn't do it with my Charger, but I bought this to flip and there's nothing like original paint for seeing condition. The fad saves me money.
Didn’t mean to sound like an *** but it seems like Roadkill has ruined restoration. I understand original paint helps the value as well.

I didn't think you were being an ***, I too, don't prefer the look, but I sure will use it to make money. I can't think of a car I have seen that I would prefer in that style except a War bike dug out of a Normandy pasture. I had a sedan delivery that had a Elsie-like Cow saying: "It's Cree-mee Smooth". It needed paint, but I wanted to save the Cow, so I was happy to see the craze come along. If I drive this Scout and like it, and I might as it steered nicely when I towed it out of the pasture and down a road to load it, I will paint it after taking a lot of "before" photos.
