I have a bunch of rims to pick from, so here goes:
What width of fifteen inch steel rim should I use for the spare in my ‘70 Coronet?

I use a factory donut from a XJ jeep Cherokee, 15" 5x4.5 and takes up very little room in the trunk !

Don't you need the width the factory called for (like a 6 or 6-1/2), to fit the well properly, putting the cover board at the right height and keep your trunk looking nice? It's just the spare, you don't plan on using it.

there is no cover on a 70 coronet spare tire,your thinking 67 and older.

I believe it is 6 inchs wide
