who is sporting a buddy seat in their car

On a side note. It looks like I may be purchasing the correct "green" bench-buddy seat belt for my buddy seat installation. So if anyone would like a "black" seat belt for their buddy seat, send me a PM...

I didnt know it had one,pic please

I used a buddy seat in place of the console on one of my long recent road trips in my '72 SSP (No brackets/screws just set it down between the bucket seats)

I came down with a troublesome pain in my right shoulder blade. It's not the fault of the buddy seat (where I was resting my right arm) but the abnormal spinal curves/bad posture I have developed over the years. No such problems when I drive without the buddy seat installed. One would think this would be the opposite of the expected results.

Three pictures and some information below regarding the buddy seat belt.

This seat belt was for the buddy seat that originally came with my 1968 Charger. Notice it is black in color.

It is similar to the rear seat belts but a little different. The ends that bolt to the floor are straight and not angled. Rear seat belts have an angled floor attachment. Also note that my 69 Roadrunner was a bucket seats only car but the plastic boot that covers the seat belt bolt as well as the bolt itself is made to accept the center seat belt. So I'm guessing this is the same across the board for all applications. Also it is my understanding the front-center seat belt is the same for both the bench seat and buddy seat applications.

My Coronet came with the buddy seat. When I had the seats reupholstered I took the buddy seat out with the intention of installing a custom console. Three years later no console, and this thread has convinced me to reinstall the seat. Cool pics everyone.

I have only owned 1 68' Charger that had a buddy seat. I did enjoy the arm rest. All of my other cars have always been console cars. My current 70' R.R. project is a column automatic car with no interior currently. I would like to put 70' buckets/buddy seat combo back in it so this thread is all good news for more details. Keep the info coming guys.

The "Map Pocket" referred to is not what it is designed for. Service Manual shows it for belt storage of the two center belts. My 6-way has two male storage tabs on the front so some have the tab and some have the pocket.
