Rebuilt Steer n Gear power steering box installed. The old one fought tooth n nail, but it lost! Also got the GV last night so it’ll be dropped off at the trans shop to be installed on the rebuilt 727.
Air intake is on, but it could change to a straight pipe as the owner is coming down on Saturday to see where his hard earned money is being spent. Also mounted the APPS/Kickdown set up, still need to run the cables for it. Trans should be done tomorrow so I’ll get that stuffed back in.
Got the trans with GV’s installed yesterday. I had to grind down 2 stiffening ribs on the GV to get to sit right along with cutting open the tunnel. The starter fit perfectly, but a couple of spots on the engine had to ground down.
Headers are in and they totally clear column shifted linkage. TTI says “NO” column shift for fitment. So I emailed pics to them as they wanted to see for themselves. Also trimmed the drivers rear fender lip to clear the tire and the owner brought down the fender lip trim along with new door hinges (the drivers door drops a 1/4 when you open it).
5.7 what great work and i'm sure that tti is also happy seeing the pics you sent. again great work i bet the owner is having a hard time not sleeping in it till its done. going to be a great car
This little diamond in a goats *** is definitely gonna surprise a lot of unsuspecting people. Lol!!!
I’m going to completely rebuild the front suspension also as I’m doing the rear. The front is wore out so badly, the passenger side TB was bent, thought I was going to need a cut off wheel to get it out.
