For a better understanding of what I'm looking for. These snap into the expanded section of the outer steering column and give support to the intermediate tube (shifter tube for column shift). These are designed for centering the tube in the column to prevent possible rattles and keep it from rubbing the actual steering shaft. If their not remanufactured I'll have to make them. I've designed a mold to make these so if anyone wants a set (4 per) I'll make a extra run of parts. These will be shot out of the same material the factory used (Nylon 66) FYI guys

I needed those when I rebuilt my column and couldn't find them anywhere, took some used ones off a spare column I had. You might sell more if you posted in the parts for sale section with a picture. How much are you asking for a set?

I looked under every rock I could find but nobody has or makes these. I'm in the process of fabricating the mold for these parts. As far as price, that will be determined after I do some calculations on material cost/machine time but I'll it will be more than fair, I'm estimating in the ballpark of $8.00 to $10.00 for a set, maybe more maybe less. Nylon isn't the cheapest material to use but it's tough heck and will probably last longer than the restoration.

My Charger needs a set of them. I only had one when I restored my column. PM me when you have some.

Do you have an idea when these will be available? I need to remove my column to do some other under dash work. I could install them then.

I have 3 cars and not a one has those clips present. Send me a PM also when you get some made up.

The manufacturing of the mold has started, should be done with it in about 4 to 6 weeks. I'll give a heads up when these parts are available.

I've never seen them.. were they on '69's????
I believe they are on the columns that are collapsible which came out in 68, I think I can safely say they were on 68-70 year models. If I were a betting man I'd say Ma Mopar used them on all models with this style column.

Guess I'll have to stick my head up under the dash of my SBird and look. None on my Bee, but Dad did hit that wheel pretty hard.. lol

When I tore my column down mine only had 2 left but I could see the witness area that the other 2 were present at one point. Mine were super brittle, part of them broke when I got them off.

That is what happened to mine also. I think one was missing but two of them broke when I removed them. 50 year old plastic and heat don't mix well. Kinda like the white tie wraps under the hood.

Any updates on the supports? I would like to order a set as well. I had one left before i restored my steering column. I tried to save it, but it was falling appart...

No worries, tool is 70 percent complete. I'll give everyone a heads up when parts are available..

I'd be down for 3 sets.

Thanks,
Wojo
