Anyone see the movie? Wife and I watched it on DVD. Freddie was surely talented but the demons overcame his life. The actor who portrayed Freddie did a good job.

I thought it was pretty good. The guy they had playing Brian May was a perfect fit. I think as Freddie got older the actor looked and played him pretty well

I'm not the biggest fan, but I do like a handful of Queen songs. Submit & I saw it and we both enjoyed it. But like most all movies, they take a lot of liberties with facts.

Nope- didn't see it. I'm holding out for the Zeppelin movie!

I wish they had spent more time on the early "getting into the business" and a bit more on song ideas. A little more on the other guys lives as well.

They also jumped around a bit, despite being mostly chronological.
When they jumped, it seemed odd, and unnecessary.

Although well done, I could have done without the entire Live Aid set.

Seems odd to me that they played Brian, Roger and John as "completely normal" and almost taken aghast at Freddie's lavish and flamboyant lifestyle.
Pretty sure they were right there.

A lot of Freddie's cats, but no mention of Brian's.
He's a big time cat advocate.

Saw it 3 times, I liked it. Facts and timing were changed around some, but that made a better story line. Basic facts seemed accurate. You know Hollywood, they gotta jazz things up some to sell movies. LOL

3 times! It’s the third movie I’ve seen since Ice Station Zebra. 1968. Guess you are making up for my box office absence.

I can wait for it to come to Cable, in less than 6 months...

I do like a few of queens songs
the music brings me back to my youth & cruise nights
I will not, don't/won't support :gay: Hollyweirdo's,
whenever possible, I don't/won't support that lifestyle...

Besides, I'm already paying for my cable :carrot:

But not enough of a fan to sit thru a movie theater
& the people in it :poke:

I thought it was well done and I thought Rami Malek nailed it. If you watch the youtube video of the Live Aid at Wembley video, it's amazing how close they came to the actual performance.

I thought Rami did a good job on series Pacific in his portrayal of a burned out Marine private. Some of the parts he was in in that movie were a bit weird.
