Lol. I hear you. Rome is a treat. I got the chance to visit UR in the Southern desert in Iraq while there. We spent a hour or two walking around and on the Ziggurat there and the ruins of the town where Abraham of the Bible lived. The doorway of the town office and some of the walls still stood after 4500+ years. The step up into the front door arch was a well worn stone and the right hand side door post, also stone, was worn deeply where anyone who entered would naturally put up their right hand. very cool to think Abraham likely hand his hand there as well. I brought back an egg shaped rock from an inside wall where it had fallen down. the Ziggurat was something else too. Missing the top two floors but the rest was awesome. Must have been an impressive sight to a bunch of camel jockeys on the first trip to the area. Baghdad was also an interesting place. The markets and stalls unchanged in centuries basically. Ancient places and objects everywhere.

It's sad that part of the world is so troubled. The history there should belong to everyone who walks the earth. To walk Jerusalem would be amazing. Who knows who touched the things you may be also touching.

like most people I know the scriptures should not be taken literally. on the other hand, why write about such things for no reason? What do they add to the story if they are just fiction? The same for Sumerian tablets, the Dead Sea Scrolls, why say stuff if it's only fictional, it's not like there were reams of paper hanging around to write on. I don't see the authors going to the trouble to obtain scrolls and then say, " hell, let us just make up **** to confuse the people in centuries to come." Back in those days I would imagine anything written down would be seen by more than one higher up person. Not just anyone could read and write either...which is yet another reason to believe that there is a grain of truth in most things...

The book of Enoch, which was stricken from the bible by the Roman Catholic church, is full of scripture about them.

Stone and copper tools, uh huh:
