My charger restoration dream car

Okay enough playing around. Utah looks just as good from ground level in a sweet 68 Charger as it does in the air...besides no one is going to give you a thumbs up at 10,000 feet. I found that those dang garage fairies don't do much work at all unless your out there cracking the whip...
Awesome aircraft brother  I really don't blame you...:poke:

Great job on the plane!! I like they way your dad did the Bob Hoover airshow motor off return roll.

What we need now is a pic or vid of your finished charger and plane together! and the wagon! ha

I have to show one last post on the Citabria.
It was a beautiful calm day yesterday after work so we took her out for the first flight. My dad got to be the first test pilot.

thats great! you are a lucky man, and one heck of family! congrats, count your blessings.

Was out driving today & knew you'd appreciate this. They're in the process of restoring the old hanger.

Great picture Roger! Your car is looking good. I am always interested is the restoration of historical and old things. Glen Curtiss is one of the great fathers of aviation. That will be a neat hanger to be restored. The Curtiss Jenny is one of my favorite airplanes.

I kept having oil leak out from under the value covers on my engine so I kept trying to readjust and carefully tighten and snug them back on and they would start leaking again later. I don’t know if the cork gaskets are usually a problem but mine seemed to be soft and not seal very well or maybe it was because of the aluminum covers, but I changed the gaskets to a harder rubber style and I haven’t had any leaking problems since.

I put my car in unfinished category at the Hurricane Easter Car Show last Saturday. We had a good turn out for our area. There were close to 300 cars in the show. I had to judge the 1953 - 1969 trucks. There were many beautiful trucks and was hard to make a decision. Great day and everyone seemed to enjoy the show.

I have been putting off starting to install my headliner. I have wanted to wait until I had a day to focus on the install. I have also been apprehensive not knowing if I could do a good job or not.
I decided that I just need to work on it a little here and there when I get time or I won’t ever get to it.
I started by prepping the inside. Put in all screws.

I then fit all of the bows into the correct spots.

keep stretching it, for what its worth, I had a problem with the sewn in loops linning up with the factory positioning of the roof bows, the spacing was off especially the small ones in the sail panel area, added a secondary loop sewed it into the loop on the legendary head liner. the loop was a cloth ribbon material 3" wide folded in half off centered to give me a one inch extention. worked pretty good but when i was done wished i had extended the one in front of the small bows, have a few small wrinkles, and you can see where the bow goes into the clip that it could have been extended about a half inch. maybe this could have resolved by doing something else but this seemed to be the answer for my situation.
