Got this when I was 13 in 1971. I was going to repaint it but decided to leave it the way it is. A survivor .

I bought this reel with paper route earnings around '70 or '71 from a sporting goods outfit called Crossroads on Western Ave., just off of Archer in Chi.
Still works good just a bit loose..……….

My first move away from my home state of Minnesota was in 1981 after I graduated from college and got my real job. The company paid for my move. The movers Packed everything in the house including the garbage. Along with all that stuff was a box of original lp albums. Beatles, Beach Boys, Stones, Led Zeppelin etc etc. that is the one moving box that has never been opened in all these years. Still sealed with the movers tape in the United Van Lines moving box. It’s a time capsule of music from the hey days of the 60s and 70s rock and roll. I should really sell them ...... but first I have to open the box..

My Remington 1100 20 gage that I got for my 14 th birthday. Still looks and shoots like new. Pretty amazing for a 40 year old $150 gun.

I’ve got an 1100 Remington 12 gauge that I’ve had for 40 plus years too. Glad I never sold it. I’ve also got a 7mm magnum Remington that I’ve had for about the same amount of time. I’m told it’s worth about $4k now days. Not everything depreciates.

I bought my 67 R/T for $629 in 1977. I still have it. I have done a little work to it. But no major resto.....Paint job was the biggest thing.

My 69 Charger I bought In 1983. 383 4 speed. I drove it for a few years and then it sat a very long time. It will take a ton of work but at least I kept it.

Die cast model of the RMS Queen Mary from my overseas trip in April 1960.

Given the carnage and trainwrecks (much of it admittedly self-inflicted) in my historical wake,
not much has survived really.
I have several tools that have come with me from teen years, though. Having a Pop that used
the cheapest possible tools made me appreciate decent quality ones in opposition and I kept a lot
of them simply because they didn't break.

I have original model building doodads from when I was single digit age, kept in a vintage 60's
GI Joe wooden miniature "foot locker" box.

I also have some of my original hand drafting projects, drawn on heavy mylar with woven backing.
I was a classically trained draftsman in my early years and worked a lot in ink on mylar, which before
CAD was a very lucrative skill if you were any good at it.
