Finally got all the parts to together to get the grilles installed. It must have taken ten tries to get the grilles and headlights centered, bumper centered and level, and looking right. Removing, adjusting, installing, and repeat.

The left low beam is a little better now than when I took the pics. I had to remove the headlight mounting bracket, straighten and enlarge the holes a bit. Now it fits a little better than in these pics. I have spent two days on this simple job.

What's the verdict on the grills? Good quality?

They are pretty good. Head light surrounds are made from a flexable plastic that fits well around the headlights. The grilles have a nice finish. Not sure what the factory grilles and surrounds were like since there were none on the car. I can only imagine anything 46 years old is going to brittle by now and need lots of work. These were taken out of the box, assembled, and on the car. They came with the screws needed to assemble them, I just wish the mounting screws were included too.

Agreed, grill looks great mate ... is that Ramp in your own garage? Lucky you if it is !

Yes it is in my garage. Best tool I ever bought. After my back injury, it became a must have. I can stand up straight and do almost any job.

Yes. since this car was missing the grille and all the mounting brackets I had nothing to start with. Others who are replacing a grille may be able to reuse the mounting screws, which is probably why they are not included.

Sounds like maybe he had to buy/source them separately? The surrounds are firmer than the originals, which will help them keep their shape (a good thing). I haven't been able to install mine yet but the finish on them is excellent. The are specific R/L, as are the grilles. Very thankful that these were finally reproduced.

Glad to hear that you are pleased with the new grilles! They do look great on your car!

We have made a note about the need for mounting hardware and will see if we can add a set to our product line for those who may not have their originals or for those cases when the originals might be corroded badly or damaged.

Thanks for the shout out and feedback on this new product. It's nice to see that a need has been fulfilled by these new products.

Any plans on adding more parts, taillight housings and body panels to be specific? These cars are really starting to be restored/built/driven since most of the other desirable cars are way outside most people’s price range.

71-74 Charger trunk lids and 71-74 b-body roof skins would sell very well, they are always rotted.

Yes! I forgot to add the grill looks great in there! Sorry about that.

can I say that I haven't bought these just right because they ARE NOT flexible like originals and it seems a bit shorter too? ( per some feedbacks I have read around ) being harder also make harder to align the beams and grilles itself, being more noticeable any gap... as we can see.

I have waited for these for looooooong years too, but I'm not strong enough to pull the trigger being internationally shipped and notice once in hands I could be not totally satisfied.

I have no qualms about them being stiffer than OE. The originals deform as soon as you remove them from the grille shell, droop from heat, crumble from age, etc. Unless you handle them you wouldn't know the difference.

yes, after long years of heat and hard enviroment they loose their shape when you remove them from grille and not reinstall them in a very short time, BTDT. I had to get a broken grilles set but with "good" fillers still installed just needing a cleaning and paint layer, installed in couple of hours as soon paint dried to get a correct fitment on my own grilles using used parts, but being brand new I still preffer the flexibility... and correct depth.

Still after SO MANY dissapointments with repro pieces to my 74 ( allmost $2K to the trash can on repro interior parts, plus international shipping ), I'm still not brave enough to buy anything if the feedback is not quite perfect.
