hey again guys,
Can anyone direct me to someone who sells 440+6 hood decals brand new like the ones in the top pic......everything I currently find does not have the black outline around the decal like in the bottom pic......they all seem to come without the black outline which imo does not look right and I know I have seen them offered before but now cannot find them....does anybody know who carries them?

Thanks!

Graphic Express shows the black outline on regular (non +6) 440 decals for 1972 only, but not on the 1971 version. Maybe they could make something up for you.
https://www.graphic-express.com/mopar/plymouth/plymouth-road-runner/1972-road-runner.html

I checked their site......and under the q&a section it states:
Do you make custom stripes and decals? NO

So they look like a bust too....... I KNOW I've seen them before but of course now that I need a set they are mia .......very frustrating

I emailed Graphic Express and he told me between the cost of the artwork and materials it would cost over $200 for one set of the decals.

:wtf:
Well, then it comes to down to how bad you need them. If nobody stocks them, they will have to be custom designed.

A member here created 440-4 decals a few years ago, but knew he had a market for them. Worthwhile putting the effort in to make them.

I guess no interest in my suggestion...

Hi,
I actually just got a response from David Patik this afternoon to a email in which I sent him the pic of the decal and asked if he could make it and his reply was exactly "never seen these...." and nothing else. I replied asking again if they could be made and he did not reply.

So that's it in a nutshell, no one really seems to want to even try and I even offered Graphics Express to do the artwork myself for I am damn good at creating graphics and he did'nt even answer.

I cannot force someone to do something they have no interest in.

Chuck

Weird that the year before has a -6 available and '72 has a pinstripe but only 440. That said.. was there an actual production 440-6 in '72? In your email did you say "from your website I see you make a 440-6 for '71.. can you do that with the pinstrip like the '72 x 440 you sell"? He can be a funny duck when it comes to email... he almost lost my business the first round with him.

In 1972 they made only three 440+6 vehicles (1 Roadrunner and 2 Charger R/T's) before corporate shut them down due to the EPA ruling on emissions.

So they would be a rare item if factory made.

I spelled out exactly what I was looking for but like I said, no one seemed to even want to try or care, hell if I had the equipment and material to print them I could do the design myself but right now I'm kinda deflated about this whole thing and I guess I'll just have use the boring as hell 1971 decals with no border.

What about a local decal shop making just the pin stripe for you to add on top??

I thought about that but I really would prefer just a fully printed decal and not have someone attempt to stripe a decal which could end up looking like hell.

At this point I think I'll just suffer thru with a 71 decal although I personally think they look bland as heck.

I had some 69 440 4 BBL decals made up and they weren't too expensive. I had them change the 6 bbl to 4 bbl, they did the modifications. Cost for 50 in a reflective decal stock was about $140. Cheaper in regular decal stock.

You need to have a good HD picture with a height and width measurement to email to them. May be worth a quote which they did no problem via email. bluebeeprinting.com

The have a quick turnaround as well once you are happy with their design.

any sign company that due vinyl can make them

still looking these are for 1971
