Lets talk bulbs

Needless to say the quality of bulbs is in the toilet. The good old 1157s that are used on just about everything are now made in China in a Sylvania box. I had 2 NEW ones burn out in a few days. So I was at the Portland swap meet and picked up bulbs where I could find the, new in box of course. One box has # 1154 and looks like an 1157, clocked with 2 filaments. What is the difference between he 2 bulbs? Wattage, brightness or? Can I use them ? Also got a bunch of other #s like dome lite, BU,dash ect.

I believe 1154 are 6v.

I've switched nearly all the bulbs on my Super Bee to LED. You've got to swap out the flashers to electronic but those bulbs should last forever (relatively speaking).
 
Thanks, I will put some in the tail lights and see what the result is. I would think a 6v would be brighter, maybe not last as long we shall see.
 
A lot of the GE bulbs at the store I work at come from Hungary while the Philips bulbs come from Hungary and France
 
When me's was poe yousda takes da bulbs and da hoser clampers off a cau and udder tings off da junker befur junker it.
