My husband are planning something in June,a trip to Gatlinburg,TN.Doing this after finishing my chemo treatments and finding out I am finally cancer free.Just us two and know we are going to stop at to visit. One is Cooter's Place, both are Dukes Of Hazard fans.I remember watching it with my dad when I was a little kid.My husband was the same way and our favorite car on the show is the General Lee to this day.Plus we found out that we can get our picture taken in the General Lee too.Going to do this. Both excited to do this.

Congratulations and awesome news on your health. Travel as much as you can and enjoy it all. Lots to see in this great land of ours....

Ah, my neck of the woods.
You'll love the place for sure - but be prepared. Gatlinburg is one busy joint in June for sure.
They have a public transportation system, though (actually, trolleys) and I recommend them for
getting around.
I also highly recommend you pay a visit to this place:

They have around 100 prime condition musclecars of all makes and types on display at any given time,
some of them quite famous. Family owned and operated, very friendly.
Have fun!

My husband knew I wanted to get away after everything is done after the chemo treatments are done.Good news is good with me,done this month with the chemo will get the news I am cancer free from breast cancer.A friend of mine and her husband went last year and got to meet Ben Jones whom played Cooter. My husband and I hopefully to do this if he is there

There is an all Mopar car show June 22 in Knoxville (31st annual), which is about 45 minutes away.

I am so disappointed that I have been to Pigeon Forge several times and never noticed or looked into the car museum. I'm always there for a car related event, like the Star(ion)(Con)Quest car club or Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge...
Looks like a LOT of Mopars there.
Great news too amoparlady! Have fun, be happy! Share your experiences!

Cooters place is nice been there 2 times museums are cool to. Congrats on your good news

I think the Dragon's Tail isn't too far away. GREAT drive, especially if your vehicle has a "fun" component to it. BEAUTIFUL scenery too!

Great Scenery, friendly people too.

Yep, was a member until recently (don't ask).
Attended last three years, it's a nice turnout. Chilhowie Park - and to be honest, the way the traffic is going to be in June, best figure on an hours' drive, easy.

Dude!!
It's on the main drag in Sevierville, over the bridge from Pigeon Forge, right next to the Chebby dealer.
Can't miss it!

Half-backs?
Yeah. They first move to Florida, decide they don't like it and head back north...
only to stop in TN and decide they like it here.

In other words, they only made it halfway back. :)
