Hey, are there any catches to removing the front quarter panels not stated in the FSM? I have not done this before and would like to confirm from someone who has done this. I need to work the quarters and it would be easier off the car as long as if its as easy as it seems in the FSM. Looks like from the FSM that its about 8 bolts once the front end is disassembled (which mine is). I know I will have to align it well during the install but this should be OK as long as I don't distort the panel.

Thanks MF

Once you take out all the visible fender bolts & start tugging on the fender, you'll eventually find where all the hidden bolts are.

So the FSM in this case is just a reference. Hopefully there are no welds or tack points.

Thanks.

Nope, the front fenders just un-bolt. And be gentle with them since I've seen replacements for $700+ each.

Looks like AMD or anyone else does NOT make a replacement front quarter that I can find.

Ha ha u guys are funny! This now is even more important because it appears nobody makes a replacement front quarter.

That is correct. There aren't any aftermarket front fenders for a '70 Plymouth b-body, just fiberglass race fenders & finding someone who has an extra used one in decent shape.....so save yours if at all possible. They do sell a patch panel for the bottom of the fenders, right behind the front wheels, but that's all that's available.

Thanks for confirming PB. Unfortunately the work I have to do is all metal un-wrinkle of the front edge. Gonna be difficult and time consuming but hey who doesn’t like metal work :)
