Hey guy's, Just need some help in looking for tires for my Bee. Does anyone know or have P235/70R15's on their Bee or if they will fit okay in the front? I know they are a 9.5 wide x 28.0 inch tall tire. I want to get away from the P235/60/15's I have now and I want to keep the same width but a taller tire. I have 15" x 7" magnum 500's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Are you thinking the 235/60 looks a little too "short" on the front with like a 275/60r15 in the rear? I've contemplated that myself

Yes that's how I feel about the 235/60 looking too short on front and back. I plan on keeping all four the same size and I have 7" wheels although I would maybe
consider 245/60 if I knew exactly what those would look like and how well they would fit on a 7" rim.

You should have no issues with a 235/70/15 on a 7" wide rim on any 68-70 b body. I have used that combo on a lot of my cars. I also think that the 60 series tire does not have enough sidewall to fill the wheel well.

A friend had that exact combo on his '69 Road Runner, and it worked fine, and looked Great. I believe he ran 275/70/15 on the back and matched up Great also...

I use a 235/60/15 on the front of my Charger. If the torsion bars are cranked down a bit, they look awesome. They do look smaller if the bars are up like stock. I run a 275/60/15 on the rear so it has a bit of rake. Pics for reference.

Thanks for the comments guy's, now if I could only have someone with a 69 Super Bee with the 235/70's mounted on their car to show me a picture that would give me the perfect picture of how mine will look.

215/70r15 front and 255/60r15 rear. Both about 27” tall. If you went with a 275/60r15 rear (28”)it would still look good.

You’ll find the car drives and steers easier with 215/70’s too.

I think a 28” tall tire on the front would look goofy. IMHO

That's what I'm afraid of it looking goofy/weird or some kind of additive that describes the appearance of the look. I have also been considering P225/70 mounted on a 7" magnum. I know they do recommend 6.5" rim but isn't 7" okay and not cause any problems with the mounting surfaces.

275/60/15 on 8 inch in the rear, and 225/70/15 on 7 inch for the front work well.

I have new 7" magnums and I would like to use them so I'm thinking P225/70 on front and P235/70 on rear, those are the best tires for a 15 x 7 rim, meaning widest and tallest for that width of rim. Had I thought about this before I purchased them then maybe I would considered 255 -275's.

I think 275's will work on a 7" rim also.

I run the police wheels on my Runner sometimes. That has 215/70/15 on the front and 235/70/15 in the rear. Here is what that looks like.

Here's my 66 with 225/70r15 on 15x7 rim all the way around

I have 225/70x15's all around on my '69 r/t with no issues. 235's are about 1/2" taller so you shouldn't have any issues on the '69. I do run 235/70's all around on my '65 coronet. I had to pull the front fender corners out a little for clearance but I have 15x7 torquethrust's and they stick out a some.

So I decided on the 225/70R15's for the front and 235/70r15's on rear. I ordered them Tuesday from Summit racing and they show up Wednesday in less that 24 hours.
Had the 225's mounted and balanced and tomorrow I will have the 235's mounted and balanced. The 225's are installed and look so much better than when the 235/60's were on the car. Thanks again for all your help guy's!

I have 235 70 15 all the way around, they fit and look perfect to me.
I also rotate my tires so one size works best for me.
