hey guys -

So i recently installed a sanden ac compressor and got my a/c running and while it’s blowing cold, it’s not coming out very strong. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone have advice for getting it to blow a little stronger?

Did you remove the fan blower motor and cleanout the airbox where the fan mounts ? Often there is a lot of debris that builds up over the years and will block flow. Also the motors will wear and slow down. The old style never had very good flow velocity even when new.
Can you give any more info other than it doesn't come out strong ? The compressor has no effect on the airflow. It turns at engine speed and only circulates the refrigerant through the a/c lines.

Will definitely start there!

The original 3 speed blower in the 69 is torrential. Early classic auto air used this and the old cable controls. Archaic and hard to use, but effective.

Had the same problem. I have to crack open a window slightly when running ours. Worked.

IMHO:
- you don't have all 3 speeds working ( the default speed is the low one even with blower speed switch disconected ), or

-vacuum lines are not working, keeping some of the actuators open around leaking part of the air what would leave the front outlets, or

-alternator is not feeding enough power making it work slow

Cleaned it out. Not much change.

Alternator is full feed but that doesn't mean the power is making it to the resistor. I have all three speeds so maybe it's the actuators. I dont have a working defrost so the vacuum lines are probably my issue.

I had a similar issue and long story short, I replaced the blower motor. I did it near the end of last car season so I have not had many opportunities to see if it really helped on a HOT day, but so far the velocity of air coming through vents seemed much better. In fact the motor I ordered had just a bit more RPMs that others I'd seen. Heater box as new/cleaned when car was refurbed.
I got if from https://www.surpluscenter.com
seems they no longer have any but couldn't hurt to call if interested as last I looked they were in their catalog.

Once I made a mantenience on my motor. Dissasembled and cleaned the armature traces ( where brushes run ) with a 320 or 400 grit sandpaper. I think it helped but can't recall. You could check also the bushings, but I think there are stuff to check before get that stage.

I may even have replaced the front shaft bushing because it was making noise, which is like a ball, but it has being loooong time ago
