So last nites episode was an all original 68 Coronet RT.
The whole hype was that it was an all original one owner car.
Towards the end of the show he mentioned that the owner bought it when it was only a few years old. WTF?

In the first few minutes, while he's standing next to the '68, he also says it was green.

Maybe he got his lines mixed up with the 71 Super Bee he went to buy.

Speaking of that, what do we think of the price paid?

$5500 for a basically stripper 71 Bee, no rust but severe dent in roof including drip rail and inner structure.

green/green original paint, 29,*** miles, with the only options I could see being a 4 speed (vs 3 speed) rallye wheels, and wheel lip moldings.

No PS or PB. No exhaust tips!

Bench seat.

I wonder if the seller was given compensation for the appearance which may have offset the desired pricing.

Only watch recorded so zipping through the BS and his stupid sneer. FF through 90% of the program. How much can you learn doing same thing episode after episode.

...and the "trivia" question about available engines in a 68 Charger was misleading.

I HATE questions worded like that.

Seems like there was another inaccuracy I noticed....what was it.....

We know they can only be original to the first owner, but this is TV. Fantasy land. Unrestored maybe, but if it's on TV, don't even count on that being true. Believe only what you see personally, divide everything else by 2 or more.

I thought it was the 71 Bee was the original owner car. And yes, I hope he got other compensation. Probably pre-arranged, but I would've told him $6k firm, or get back into your tow truck.

My opinion is the show is a lot better than when it first came out! I had such high hopes that we could actually
learn from the show, but it was too corny with a lot of nonsense. I quit watching. tuned back in about two months
ago and was pleasantly surprised. Not perfect yet, but a step in the right direction. I hope they stay on the beam
and give us what we want. Knowledge.

I can’t watch that show, wish he was a Chevy guy.

I thought the body work part of the show without mark was good. I think that young man really cares.

Also found it interesting that- "sent out for mud work" was said, and that they farm out the dash and cluster to Instrument specialties.

The guy welding in the trunk floor violated a thin panel rule by "stitch welding" adjacent welds rather than moving a few feet to reduce heat.

But I did like that segment as it was another actual build/repair segment and not "we didn't have time to show you this and this and this and this....but here's some more drama and now "the reveal".

He had his broker contact me by email then by phone on this 70 challenger rt V code matching numbers then hit me low and me deliver and be on the show selling it to him. I declined.

Did he specify any "show" compensation or just the 15 minutes?

It’s the only all Mopar show on tv, I’m not going to complain. Everything else is mostly Chevy and ford builds.

I dont think marks cousin is as dumb as they let on. It seems he may be a fair engine builder. Mark likes to make other people seem dumb so his dumb a** looks better. I DVR it and watch what I want to of it. He wouldnt like my car much most of the trim shaved nothing factory in the power train.

Worman is what we have to on TV to carry the Mopar banner.............
I would swap him for Rawlings for the show without a second thought and I cant Fn stand Rawlings.
All joking aside, The young guy that does 99% of the wrenching and the paint guy are pretty good. Worman and the girl need to find a new line of work.
