Hi Koosh, here in Phoenix we have a steering box shop called bench works. Maybe where you are located there is a similar shop. This shop did both of my steering boxes. They did a good job for me, rebuilding and leak checking it all.
As for the steering pump itself, yes there are several types. Which ever one you choose they all have a pressure output difference. And even some can be altered on their output pressures.
Both of my cars were way to sensitive. Cars in the sixties were designed to have bias ply tires installed from the factory. That meant having a higher pressured steering pump to overcome the resistance of the vehicle. When I installed new steel belt tires to my cars the cars steering was way to sensitive, as if to much steering assist, you couldn’t feel the road.
So I modified my Saginaw steering pump to put out less pressure as to limiting the power assist that I was desiring. I found the how to article by googling modifying Saginaw steering pump. If this sounds like something of interest do a little reading. This might not be for everyone but it helped me out and has made my steering less sensitive.
Again this is the way I did this and my 2 cents,
Good luck,
