Dual exhaust

How do you like your 451? I have been contemplating doing a 451 build. I have a spare 400 block as well as another complete 400 engine, a 440 steel crank, and a couple sets of 400 and 440 connecting rods. It would be fun to build something on the side to swap out with the 400.

I love the 451, I’ve had it together almost 23 years. It is obviously an old tech stroker build. LY rods, 440 crank, KB pistons. 452 heads, M1 intake, MSD ignition, etc.

Things I would do differently now if building a 451 (I was in my early 20’s then)
Better rods
Cut the block for the crank not the crank for the block.

If I were gonna build a stroker 400 today I’d just build a 512.

Just a heads up. The Flowmaster tail pipe kit did not work on my 73 Charger. We tried multiple ways to install it and just couldn’t make it work how we wanted it to run. I am returning it and getting the mandrel bends I think I need and building it myself.

It's called a conversation Rumblefish! Isn't that what we are here for?

If you look above in the thread, I was one of only two people that actually did post pics of 71-74 Mopar exhaust as was asked.
LMAO! I did put the LMAO rolling on his side smiley god thingybthere rights?

Well, since you want to get serious, here’s why your stupid in addition to the above. I quoted your response as none helpful because it has nothing to do with the question asked but yet you needle on about it like, we’ll, an idiot.

Good day! I’m leaving the thread since your reading comprehension is low and your pretty stupid. Continuing an argument with you is a fruitless endeavor in which I’ll not participate in or compete in since you will only attempt to drag me down and beat me with your loads of (performance exhaust) experience.

If the car came from the factory with dual exhaust, it would have cut outs in the rear valance for the exhaust tips. This pic of an AMD valance should give you a good idea where the exhaust would exit on a factory dual exhaust car.

Don't mind my flex pipe. Came up a little short. Will remedy when I add headers.
Pipe is 2.5" and I cut out the valence.

One last thing to finish this off, the Flowmaster tailpipe kit did actually end up fitting

What about "turn down" exhaust tips? They don't have cut outs in the rear valance
