Putting a new pan on my 74 Satellite with a 727 and want a good gasket to go on it. What are you guys using? Anyone trying the ones with metal in them? Thanks.

The new Mopar reusable pan gaskets are basically bullet proof.

Yes that modern mopar one is good too, and you can usually get them at the local dealership

Stay away from any aftermarket stamped steel pan. They are too thin and will deform when you tighten the bolts. Use either an original Chrysler or an aftermarket aluminum pan and a cork gasket. Torque the bolts to the correct spec. Those steel reinforced reuasable and "O- ring" gaskets might work well, but you don't need to spend the money.

They are only supposed to be torqued to 12 ft lbs.
