I was in the process of restoring my 64 Sport Fury when a drunk decided to run off the road and total the rear half of the car ( from the rear of the doors back). I am in desperate need of a shell. Does anyone know where I can find a donor car?

That sucks! just have to keep looking around. There's another website called 1962-1965 moparornocar.

This is a pretty active site even for the earlier b body stuff. Put up a wanted add in the section for that. Where are you located ?

You'd be surprised what can appear with a wanted add. People sometimes have stuff they are willing to sell but they don't bother to take the time to actively list it for sale.

Roy, welcome to FBBO. Please go to the welcome thread and intro yourself. Also hit the parts/ cars wanted threads in the marketplace with your needs. Check also in the threads for your year of MOPAR. Other sites are moparts.com, and the one already mentioned above. Good to have you here and good luck with your hunt. Ghost.

Possibly another line...Hemmings.
Year's ago, now, when I first started looking for parts on my 64, found an ad from a guy in Arizona. Said he had FIVE parts cars, so might still be some floating around.

We bought a 65 Belvedere shell from Desert Valley Auto Parts in AZ. When we called we were just looking for a trunk lid.Ended up buying the whole shell and they shipped it to PA.That shell was rust free and saved about 5 cars. The roof was damaged from stacking but every piece of metal was used off of it.

That's the way to go when your going to part it out to club members and friends with the same bodies....

Plymouth Fury Hardtop. This is a #'s correct car with the original Hi Performance 383 engine (335 H.P. Carter AFB and Dual Point distributor). The previous owner started to "graft in" a '727' Torqueflite Transmission. I purchased what I believe to be a #'s correct '833' 4-speed... and BOTH transmissions are included with the sale. I've owned the car for almost 10 years, thinking "someday I'll get around to restoring it"... and you know "the rest of the story"... It is sold with a GOOD BILL OF SALE... the CLEAN AND CLEAR title has been purged from the COLORADO DMV records... of which there is a process to generate a new Colorado title... of course there's a FEE for that. There are pictures of the car that date back to the day I hauled it home all the way through to it's current state. It's ready for media blast, or paint stripper. The floors are in great shape, as is the body... with some minor rust around the passenger side rear fender well. (patch panel included, see picture). The build sheet indicates 335 H.P. '383' engine, '833' transmission, and 'suregrip' rearend, radio, heater. "MOST" parts and pieces are included, except for SEATS and Interior. There are also some new AFTERMARKET parts included... if you see it in the pictures, you get it included in the deal. This is a SERIOUS HUGE PROJECT... it's not for the 'first timer'. This is a FACTORY HOT ROD... a true MUSCLE CAR back in the day. If it doesn't sell here, in a few months, I'll part it out on ebay... which I will hate to do. email me with questions, or text me... I'll respond PROMPTLY. Your first hand physical inspection is welcomed... or even a third party inspection. The car, and all the parts and pieces have been stored INSIDE, with few exceptions.

Price $ 3,500

It's a tedious process but if your trying to find hard to find stuff sometimes you just have to look through craigslist every city at a time. It takes a couple hours but then you'll know if it's out there, and for sale. Also even more tedious, post wanted add on craigslist all across the country. If you live in a large enough city put up flyers also.

If you use Searchtempest as a search engine it will search all listings in a mile radius from you. Works good.

Roy, I left you a private message. I have a nice 4 dr parts car with some nice quarters. Let me know if I can help. The car is rolling and complete, I just need the shift mechanism and shift cables.
