Picked one up and am looking at the plenum runners. On the floor of cyls 1-2&8 there is a cast in hump or ridge. Should I leave as is or smooth it out.

Thanks Kimmer. Been looking for info on these manifolds and found some info on Hughes site. They did some testing on most of the manifolds, although for a RB and said the SD had some of the least scatter. I belive that is fuel distribution. I think just some blending and a gasket match is what I will do. Maybe a before and after test also. Easy to R&R and I can still use the Weiand dual plane CORK while tinkering. Butt Dyno only.

The old school MoPar Performance engine secrets book had some details about building little damns in the Eddy Torker and the intake you have. I’ll try to dig it up. Maybe yours are built in?

Looks like they are built in. Before I start grinding I would like to see that article. Thanks.

Sorry, I guess it was for the Holly Super Stock. The Torker is mentioned, but they don’t show the dams in that one. With that in mind, I would assume those little dams are there for a purpose. Probably to even the flow out to each cylinder. Sorry I had that wrong in the first place, it’s been like ten years since I looked at that book...
