Hello All,

Just purchased my 72 Satellite from a gentleman in Upstate NY about 1 month ago. Originally a 318-2bbl/904-Column Shift/Powder Blue Ext./Poly Blue Int./White Vinyl Top/Bench Seat. His Resto-Mods included: 440 .030 over/10:1 Compression/509 Purple Camshaft/440 Source Aluminum Heads/750 Demon Carb/Edelbrock Performer Manifold/Full 3" Flowmaster Exhaust/Coated Dougs Headers/ MSD Ignition/727 Manual-Auto Reverse Valve Body/B&M Pro-Stick Shifter/2600 TCI Converter/4-Link AlterKtion Coil Over Rear Suspension/Rebuilt Front End/Moser Axle with DANA 60 3:55 Posi/American Gasser Custom Wheels/20" Rears w/Nito 295-40ZR-20's/18" Fronts w/Nito 235-ZR-18's/Drilled & Slotted Discs (4)/Power Steering/Custom Color (Blue) Paint with Painted Stripes (White)/White Bucket Seats.

I'm looking to make changes to the Interior first and have purchased new stuff from OER. He was really into white and had painted the Interior Door Panels, Dash, Cosole etc. all white. I've removed the console as I'm not a fan and am replacing the Dash, Door panels and Carpet with factory "Bright Blue" replacements.

Any help or tips on removing and replacing the panel, dash, carpet etc. are greatly appreciated.

I'll post pics soon.

Thanks in advance for any and all help...

Rob

:welcome: from the foothills of NE Tennessee!
Quite the looker you have there. You've come to the right place for advice, too.

My, what a big brake booster/master cylinder you have. :)

Welcome from The Hudson Valley NY.
The only advice I have is to use some sort of sound deadener/Insulator under the carpet. I used this inexpensive product from a box store....

I also used so a stick on product similar to dynamat behind the door panels. I also purchased at local box store but cannot remember the brand.

Other than that....get a shop/service manual for removing dash. I need to replace my dash pad but this makes me nervous. Don't want to create rattles, etc. Definitely a 2 person job. For now I plastic have a dash cover. Only issue with that is it is somewhat noticeable above the glove box where your car says "Plymouth".
If you want to go custom, I have seen some use carbon fiber look decals anywhere you have an insert (Plymouth area, around speedo, console). Gives it a modern look but it's more personal preference.

Nice ride....Good luck Rob.

Almost forgot....get yourself some trim/panel removal tools. I purchased a kit at Harbor Freight and they work well.

Welcome aboard from NJ. I personally like the white as it is very rare. I think it really pops against the blue. I admire folks with white interiors as it is a chore to keep it clean! Car is a beauty!

door panels look good...but that dash has GOT to go.

in case you didn't know, factory white interiors after '69/70 had black dashes and carpet

Welcome from Michigan.....:drinks:Sweet ride you have there....

Hi and welcome to the site. Nice car.

I personally like a white interior contrasted against the blue and white exterior, but I agree the dash and some other pieces should not be white - gets to be too much.

Either way, nice car and glad you joined the site. Do what YOU want to do with it and enjoy it.
