max wedge oil pan new reproduction

What do you all think is a good price for these?
Testing the market with one won't really tell them the quantity they'd sell ,just that there are people not aware of their possible release .Hence the current eBay bidding.

I know the 1962/63 speaker grille that was reppoped was set at an affordable price ,considering its scarcity, hoping the same might apply here
Why should it cost more than a Hemi pan?

Compare the number of Hemi cars versus Max Wedge.
Ths same amount of metal, the stamping cost may have gone up some but not that much. The fact that over priced you only sell a few lower price and you sell many.

Supply and demand regulates price,if you want/need you pay the price,if not you walk away !

Absolutely true and I, for one, will walk away. As for comparing the number of hemi cars verses max wedge cars, if you count the max wedge tributes (wanna bees), we win hands down...lol.

Me thinks that when Van's sells a few of them the price will come way down.

finished at 710.00....now lets see what they do.

A response to 63 Max Wedge @63max wedge

Was it post #26 that you disagree with? I wasn't clear, I was talking about repo pans being bid up and after awhile the price will come down is what I meant. Max wedge cars are harder to find parts and if someone wants to pay what ever for a part is ok with me.
Sounds like you got a nice deal on your car. I bought mine in 78 also $500.
What I do with my time is no business of yours.

Maybe you should spend more time figuring out the English language and how to respond on this forum BEFORE criticizing others on the forum....

Waddaya expect from a guy who types in all caps?

I have 2 of the 63 swinging pickups, one I lengthened back in 73 for a deep pan which could be cut and re threaded to stock length the other is stock. I may put them up for sale soon as I'll probably never use them.

Went and looked at his posts, mostly for sale or want ads. The few other posts were just normal stuff. Don't know what set him off maybe it was that unclear post, he hasn't added anything.

Not really... Here is one reply from that non max wedge engine post in the Mechanical section towards Bill...

So there you have it. The 413 Max Wedge was simply the 413 Max Wedge. The 426 Max Wedges are the true Stages I, II and III. Now you know the correct way to sound like you know what you are talking about. I'll bet there a few of you out there that just can't wait to correct someone out there when they call the 413 a Stage I. I know because I was waiting like a lion waiting to pounce on the first guy that screwed up in front of me. How sweet that was. Maybe later I will get a chance to get into the nuts and bolts of the details for these separate "stage" packages when I have a lot more time

Your right.
Haven't seen a picture of his 98% car.
I can understand spending $3k on a correct oil pan for a Max Wedge for personal satisfaction of having a perfect car. Buying it to add "value" to the car I don't think the numbers work.

i put my name on the list for the max wedge oil pan at vans . they call me today there $300.oo plus the ride
