Walmart has deep cycle batteries for sale at $69.00 what is everyones opinion on using one in a vehicle thats not driven so often.
Thanks in advance, Tony.

I have one in my Satellite and one in my Dakota.

They are "combo" RV starting/deep cycle.

Exide branded Rural King.

Seems like the secret might be out, as last year they were $46 and now they are "on sale" for $85.

A good combo is OK, but a trolling motor type deep cycle no.
Not being driven often really shouldn't make much difference.
If you know you are not going to drive it, then lift off one of the battery cables.
I just started my Plymouth after 6 months with the battery disconnected.
Didn't even charge much after it started.

As said a combo battery is good to go but a deep cycle battery by design do not give out the large current draw your starter may need , they are made to give up smaller amounts of current for a longer time.
You might be wise to get the proper battery

Usually a regular battery will lose about 1% of charge per day. That's old tech but have they got any different over the years?

I bought a Exide Nascar Select from TSC two years ago. Never had a tender or charger on it all winter. A couple of weeks ago I go out in the garage and it cranked over like it was freshly charged. And I cranked on it until the oil pressure came up before letting it fire off.

I bought the smaller group 34 because they were out of the 27. Just wanted to get it fired up. I had done some research on batteries before I bought it and there were lots of good reviews for the Exide.
