Curious if Plymouth made a Non Air Grabber Bulge Hood in '72 or in any other year that would fit my Satellite. I've seen the '73 Hood with the "Holes" at the front but would prefer something smoother like the Air Grabber Hood (Minus the cut-out). I really like the '73 Charger Power Bulge Hood but realize it would be way too long...I've also seen what looks like an "insert" added into the recessed area of the hood I currently have, which I do like as well. Is that an option that was available or an add-on folks were putting on themselves? Along those lines does anyone know of a year by year reference guide to available options for various components? Including a couple pics of my Satellite for reference. Just getting back into the Hobby after 25 years so any and all help is appreciated.

The standard Roadrunner hood had "scallops" with engine size call outs.

I believe it actually reduced the under hood clearance.

That's they way they fit.

Just that one little area on each side.

That is one of my favorite hoods of all time.

(I only wish it was easier to make it functional)

If you adjust the bumpers down, so the outside edges are flush with the header, most people won't notice.

Nuttin' wrong with that.

sorry, this is a fresh B-5 blue rust free hood, just dropped it off at the body shop to have it painted GY4

Just curious as to why you don't like the air grabber.

They're pretty darn cool.

...and the repro kit to add the A/G bulge to a flat hood is readily available.

1972 RR with the 400 engine came with a blank white call out. I'm not completely sure but the 72 rr/gtx came with the 440 call out and the 340 also came with the engine designation also. Here's a pic of an all original 72 with a 400, courtesy of rjs's friend
