Fully rewiring a 1971 Plymouth satellite started and stuck at the ignition switch and dashboard. Can figure the ten prongs in the picture go to dash lights guessing ground and power? But can’t figure out how to wire the gas and gage is it on the circuit board or do I need to take the cluster assembly completely apart? Also I have 5 wires coming from the starter ignition switch red, dark blue, black, yellow, brown, and purple, can you tell me which goes where, I have the schematics and am just beyond frustrated with the change in wire colors over the years.

Your gas gauge is the circuit that comes from one of the terminals that the voltage limiter plugs into. trace those and see which pins they go to on the round plug. Usually the fuel gauge is on a dark blue wire on the round connector. If I remember correctly. If you need that board I have one I will check to make sure all pins are in tact for the round plug. Let me know.

Here is the board I have and I show you the fuel gauge to the pin on the round plug. The limiter limits the voltage to the fuel gauge. Or to the fuel sender in the tank. Really cant think which way it goes. Getting one correct should allow you to look at the schematic to orient the other wires.

Ok here we go,,
