Pony up $5 bucks now just to list your cars and trucks!! ALL cars and trucks, not just the dealers anymore!! The free ride is over! It was just a matter of time, we all knew it was coming...Your thoughts on this? Good or bad? Where can we go next? Should we? Where else can you list for free? I have to also wonder if you pay it, is your ad flag-proof?

Wait til the Internet sales tax starts taking effect........its coming thanks to our wonderful mental midgets in D.C.

I wont pay it. Ill be posting FS in facebook marketplace on my wife's account I guess. Plus less scammers for me...

I'm sure the scammers will be hitting CL like gangbusters too trying to scam credit card numbers.....but maybe it'll slow down the car selling scammers? Naw.

well, that was a pretty stupid thing for them to do.
how-to kill interest in your website,by CL.
i used to run at least! 5-10 ads per week on that site.

for the past few months ive been concentrating on facebook Marketplace,
mainly because you can actually look up the other persons info,
so you know ahead of time what type of person is coming to your place.

and theres a Ton of groups,
one you guys would probably like is the Mopar Swap Meet channel.
prices are sane and reasonable mostly there.

Nothings free, $5 aint all that bad considering the ease of CL over other options. Lots more exposure on CL than a forum unfortunately.

Yup a flat fee if thats what it is isnt bad. Better than paying ebay listing fees final sales fees pp fees and anything else they can come up with.

Read the new policy. 5 bucks to renew also! So as soon as your posting is a couple days old, and 15 pages in, it is pretty much useless.

Maybe it will get some to have realistic prices on their cars, instead of having the same ad with a high price for months on end.

Ya that is bullshit. Way to go craigslist. Its gonna stop people from listing stuff, Especially the people who've held onto some treasure forever and don't even know what they have and one day decide to list it for next to nothing.... those are the people I want to buy stuff from, lol!!! Ya right those people will pay to list. They'll probabaly just say forget it instead...

They should charge you $5 if you want to remove the listing once you make it and make you put your phone number... that way it encourages the seller to
a) be reachable
b) ask a reasonable price
c) once it sells then you are encouraged to pay the 5 so you don't keep getting calls all day, lol!

So the $20000 project numbers matching 74 318 charger that needs ever part know to man isn't going to be listed any more?

It’s only $5, that’s not a lot of money. I don’t like to brag but I’ve got over $12 in my bank account right now.

our cars and trucks section is absolutely flooded with bullshit adds that get flagged almost immediately. it would cost them hundreds of dollars a day to keep posting that crap. I think it's a great idea. I bet it curbs 90%

Seems OK to me. I've bought a lot of stuff off Craigslist over the years.
I always wondered how Craigslist was supported?
All good things come to an end.
Anyone remember Napster... that was pretty awesome.

I just was going to list a crap car up for parts
now I will call one of the buy all cars ads and just be rid of it.
I can't complain much as they make my life much easier..
now I have a excuse not to deal with the bullshit...

I just wish CL would bring back the ****!
