Below are pictures of a never used aluminum Hemi block. 4 1/2 bores. I don't know anything about it and comes as you see it here. Judging by the stamping on the pad, my guess is this is block #2. There is supposed to be an aluminum main cap girdle to complete the lower block, but that is MIA. Would make a great garage art piece as is, or get some junk Hemi heads and other misc parts to make a cool display engine.
Block weighs about a hundred pounds. $750.00 or best offer.

Looks like a combination of features...

Milodon VII liter block style main girdle, main oil galley relocated to the side like a Keith Black.

Looks like there's no lifter oiling, but there's provisions in the casting to add it.

Getting a starter fitted up would be a trick. There's no motor mount holes on the sides, so you'd have to use a plate or elephant ears.

Looks to be short of oil drain back holes, and head bolts too !

any idea who made it? Looked around but not much out there to identify it

The only ID is the "C&S" cast into it above the timing cover.

Correct...

Correct...

Top fuel would use a blower starter....

The block is drilled for head bolts, but you are correct, no oil drain holes.

As I stated above, I know nothing about it other than what is shown. As a topic of conversation, it would make a great garage art piece as is, or get some junk aluminum Hemi heads and other misc parts to make a cool all aluminum display engine.

What a rarity!
I agree with OP, a super display piece for the man garage.

Not a deep skirted block either, were the k/b blocks like that ? I don't ever remember seeing one before !
Maybe its a small block, and we cant tell by the pics ! LOL

Any idea what the deck height is and if it’s a standard cam bore?

As far as I know, it's standard deck height. Cam bore...???

As stated, the only thing this block would be good for is display. Throw on a set of junk heads, headers an intake & other parts & you've got a cool piece of garage art.

The blocks that NHRA ruled against were actual GM blocks. They were cast for them by Caterpillar.Mopar at the time was assigning Mopar P/N's to GM parts in order to make things "legal".I have pictures of Nickens "Mopar" engine in the back of a Dodge truck on a dolly and ones in the Avengers, and they are without any doubt GM engines.

The original version of the B-1 engine(1987-88) may have been Keith Black, but were cast. The later blocks were RJ and C&S made blocks.
