What a stupid thing I did!

Don't pull the head, Worst case is it makes to the water pump or onto the thermostat and sticks it open or gets caught in the water pump. those little dremel wire brush bit I don't think will stand a chance in the belt drive pump. heck you have bigger chunks of rust in the jackets than that wire bit. Prob will never make it out of the head.

Which plug hole? Near a cylinder head freeze plug, maybe pull the plug before trying to flush. That way you will have an idea of where to look for it before you move it with a flush, and you will have enough room to get it out. Then just put in a new freeze plug.

I hope I don't ruin my water pump, if it gets stuck the thermostat would be good.

It is near the freeze plug but its 1 1/2 inches over, I don't think that would work, good Idea though.

I think your ok, It wont make it past the thermostat if it does go through the pump.
Unless that block and heads are fresh out of the tank there is so much crap / rust ect in the water jackets that little dremel bit isn't adding that much more blockage. :D

What he said. ^^^

Well, Sorry about all of your troubles! First, It won't rust or corrode. Second, if it gets sucked into the water
pump, you've got real problems. If it were me, I'd pull the head and get it out with a magnet. Done.
No more worries. Only clean threaded holes with a tap of the correct size and pitch. (For next time)

If it was me I'd look for it....but I have found some crazy things in water jackets before....

I'm an idiot so don't listen to me.
I would try to flush the **** out of it first (air pressurized water)then button it up and run that ******.
I've seen these old V8s eat some **** that didn't even make them burp. Those are some pretty small pieces you're talking about. If a pressurized flush won't puke it out, normal running probably won't move it. Chances are you got it with the vac but can't find it.

This would be great! We will see...

This photo is of the bolt hole, that object you see is solid, I can't get nothing pass it. It can't be the bristles and little clip because I just be able to push something through it. I think that is the back of the water jacket. Another question I have does all bolt holes

go though the water jacket?s

As a matter of fact....just last weekend we replaced the raidator on my sons 02 grand cherokee....it appeared to be all factory clamps and all......but when it came out there was a cracker jack surprise.....the bolt from a worm clamp??? Wtf...all factory hoses...factory clamps....it sure looked to never be apart even by the water pump. 189,000 miles. He asked...how did this happen??? Must have been dropped in the cap.

This is the bristles with the tiny clip that the whole the bristles together. This is what got stuck.

What about threading a longer bolt in and a strong magnet on the head of the bolt and back it out.

if you are cleaning up rtv i say don't worry i'm sure there is plenty of it in the water jackets. like the other guys have said i bet there is alot more in there then you think. good luck
