What a stupid thing I did!

I didn’t read all the replies so if I’m out to lunch, I’m ok with that. I wouldn’t worry too much. If you can’t get it and it’s really bugging you, spray some brake clean in to be sure it is nice and dry. Then stuff silicone in the hole to ooze around it and create a hold on it. Let it dry and install the bolt.
Of course this is presuming your bolt will still go in to tighten the header flange.
I’m sure there has been much worse in many of our systems!

Even though you didn't read the whole the thread GD, you are in agreement.
Flush it and RUN THE ******!!!

It won t hurt a thing as long as headed stud bolt will go in far enough

I agree RUN THE ******!!

My word guys, we're talking about a tiny Dremel wire brush.. it ain't going to cut off flow or cause mass destruction for crying out loud! I just rebuilt a 318 that had enough mud and dirt in it to build a mud hut and it was still running strong. I say try the frost plug, if no luck then just run it.

Next time use a tap instead.
Yep. Hard to kill a 318 of any variety.

:popcorn2::popcorn2:and I just got back from vacation and we went to page 4.... :rofl:it's a 383........RUN the ****** twice as hard!! You'll know soon enough......
