Hallo at all

at first - sorry for my newbe-question :D

My fuel gauge only shows 75% when the Coronet is fully fueled.

When i am running lower the fuel-level which is showed falls under zero even though there is still fuel left.

How could i fix that and where does it come from ?

Greetings from germany

Characteristic. Join the club. Mine did too until a ground was discovered after about 25 years.

You have to tweak the float arms on the aftermarket units.

Nobody in the aftermarket makes a decent fuel sending unit for our late 60's b-bodies.
Further, NOS units are unobtanium - and if you actually do find one, it's huge $$$.
There are a lot of folks suffering from this affliction.

Amen to that !

Just me....... but if your sender is reading 3/4 when full and falling with fuel use you got a good aftermarket sender.

My aftermarket unit reads 1/4 when empty. 1/2 =1/4 & so on LMAO

Mine always reads less than what I actually have.... better than the other way around tho.

Isn't the fuel sender run through the Voltage Limiter? It may be an easy fix.

Yes it does, but if the sender ohms are goofy.....then the reading will be. The Meter box lets you calibrate that. Got one yesterday and will install later today
