5.7 Hemi oil recomendations

Talked to m Lucas rep and he filled me in on some things I didn't think about. One was the VVT . I never ran it before on my engines but have had some issues with customer cars and got me thinking on it. Also Since I didn't build this engine from new the Clearance in the it is un known to me so I will take it that Dodge knows what there doing as I haven't seen a lot of these engines fail due to Oiling issues ! All I was asking was for input on this as Yes I am Old School and do run better oil in my Big blocks with 13:1 and so on. I have see a lot of Great input here and even with some who Don't have the under the hood know how I still feel good with what I can take away from this.

Just because its thicker doesn't mean its better.
Actually on newer engines a thicker oil can do damage because the oil is too thick to be pumped into bearings because the clearances are too small, resulting in oil starvation.
I would bet many would blame the brand of oil rather than the viscosity.

Molecular. Synthetic always flows easier.
