Header

With your hands of course! :D JK What's in it? a 440 or a Hemi? What kind of headers do you have? Not all are created equal and not all install the same.....

Tell us what brand you bought and the guys will fill you in on what size hammer you'll need!

I suggest you remove the torsion bars for added clearance when fishing the headers up. It takes maybe 20 minutes to remove the bars, well worth the 20 minutes. Also turn the wheels all the way one way or the other to add more room around pitman or idler arms.

I have 2" TTI's on the 440 in my '65 coronet. I have to raise the engine and they slip right in from the bottom; fairly simple. I do use studs. header bolts and iron heads can be a coolant problem; studs preferred. power steering MAY create an issue with any engine/header/chassis combo.

Could a GTX come with manual steering? I know that a Satellite could be had with manual everything....and rubber mats too!

The header make and design will certainly dictate installation. Newer custom TTI bolts right up. But say an older pair of Hookers? (Especially if larger pipes. And/or car options like AC?) You may need to pull motor mount pins to lift motor a bit to improve installation angle.

my '69 r/t was a manual steering, manual brake, little radiator car. i'm sure a gtx could've been ordered the same.
