I had the BS out today so I took a couple pics.

Looks like I used the same bolts that secure the BS to the front bracket.
(yes, I know the bracket is supposed to be welded to the floor)

I bent some long 19" rack mount equipment "ears" right at the weak spot where there were screw holes (hey, sometimes "Murphy's" law works for you).

Then I screwed a small ear to each of those, and than a PVC pipe coupling to the small brackets. One coupling has been notched to clear a coffee cup handle. Still need to do the other one.

They hold a can loose but are tall enough for it not to tip.
(even during "spirited" driving)
They hold a "standard" coffee cup perfectly.
They rest on the center ridge in the coupling.
They hold a Circle-K "Polar Pop" fairly securely.

Nice, i hate getting a cup of coffee before a show and taking off with a 4speed holding a coffee isnt fun
 
Agreed.

This should be about a $20 project.

I had a crap load of ears from my job in IT, but you can get all sorts fairly cheaply from ebay.
