I found this vintage brass blow torch in my Uncle Bill's attic when I was going through his estate which he left to his sister; she wanted me to have it. For those who don't already know, Uncle Bill went to heaven last month.

I saw the torch a long time ago after Bill had restored it but time took its toll. I took it apart today and shined it back up. It is not fully restored to working condition but it makes a nice conversation piece. Here are some before and after photos.

Nice memento of your Uncle - Display it proudly and think good thoughts of him when you see it!

I use a very old set of large wrenches from my best friend's grandfather who worked on trucks. I met him many times as a kid and they were ultimately passed on to me - I feel good every time I use one!

Very nice! Is that a gasoline burner? Now you know where the 'Bernzomatic' name on some of today's propane torches comes from.

I found this no name version about 20 years ago in an antique shop. They only wanted $10 and it was already shined up.

I inherited a Craftsman table saw from my uncle Art (WWII vet) and I still use it.

I have some of those from grandpas passed as well. One of them looks just like yours. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great !!! Spray it with some clear lacquer to keep it from tarnishing again.
