Hey guys, slowly get the car back together, and I guess this piece separated from the glass. Tried to force it on by hand, But that didn’t work when I tried it. I’m very paranoid because with my luck I’ll destroy the whole thing.

Can somebody tell me how to put this back on?

You need glass setting tape... Go to Moparnations pinned GTX resto thread and find the index table on page 117 and find "Glass".

Here's me doing a vent window...

there is a fiber tape or some type of tape/glue all in one for that. like the window channel for side windows. uuummm i cant think of the term help me hear gents

As others have said you need glass setting tape. There is a issue though no one has addressed, what size. i have the same channel that I purchased the tape for and determined that I needed 1/32 glass setting tape for that piece. Yours should be the same. What you do to confirm is measure the inside channel with a slide calipers, then the thickness of the glass. Subtract the glass thickness from the channel width then devide by 2 in order to determine the proper tape thickness.

The tape needs to fit snug and one too small will eventually loosen through time........

Then I have one more favor to ask. Does anybody have 2 to 3 feet of scrap setting tape they are willing to sell me cheap? It seems most of the tape that I see for sale is 10 and 20 foot long rolls.

Sorry, I only have .060" and .025" and by Justin's thread you're looking for 3/64th.... or 1/32 if you want to try aeon280's suggestion.

Any local glass shop should have tape. Used for setting glass in sliding display case tracks, etc.

Layson's sells it by whatever length you need...
